Ojihiro

Two submissions from me in one day?? Holy shit what is this, the apocalypse? I feel like I'm finally coming out of my artistic slump, thank GOD. 

This was originally only supposed to be a quick sketch so Juliette would know what his colouring looked like because all he's seen so far are pencil sketches, but it quickly got out of hand. I decided that I'd use it as painting practice because the new way of colouring that I'd picked up was really lowering my bar and I wasn't pushing myself like I should. This was the most fun I've had creating art in a long time and it was so, so refreshing. There's definitely some things that I need to improve on/some changes I might make to it, but I'm currently happy with it, considering what I've recently been putting out.

For those of you who don't know, Ojihiro is the crown prince of the elven courts. He wasn't originally the first in the line for the throne (he was the result of a failed mating between the queen's daughter, her second child, and an unknown male.), but he ended up being groomed for it after the other candidates were kicked out. He has a lot of issues and basically became the Party Prince of the elvish world. He could give Party Dad Thranduil a run for the money. The reason for his darker colouring is because the current queen wasn't originally of noble blood. She managed to weasel her way up the ladder, but that's a whole other can of worms. Oh, and his name isn't actually Ojihiro, his mother changed it to that as an insult. That's about it, in the smallest nutshell you could possibly imagine.
